Bun

I

A husband and wife have been living together for 30 years. On the 30th anniversary of their marriage the wife, as usual, has baked the bun – she baked it every morning, it was a tradition. During the breakfast she cut it across, buttered both sides, and, as usual, gave the top to the husband, but her hand stopped halfway…

She thought: “On the day of our 30th anniversary I want to eat this rosy part of the bun; I was dreaming about this for 30 years. Finally, I was an exemplary wife for 30 years and I raised good sons for him. I put so much efforts and health for the well-being of our family.”

So she made a decision and gave the bottom of the bun to her husband, but her hands trembled – breaking the 30-year-old tradition! Her husband took the bun and said to her:

-What a wonderful gift you gave me today, my dear! 30 years I did not eat my favourite –bottom- part of the bun, because I thought that it rightfully belongs to you.

Moral of the story: we often come up with our own misconceptions. Communicate , ask questions and never assume

Value of Life

A little boy went to his old grandpa and asked, "What's the value of life?"

The grandpa gave him one stone and said, "Find out the value of this stone, but don't sell it."

The boy took the stone to an Orange Seller and asked him what its cost would be.

The Orange Seller saw the shiny stone and said, "You can take 12 oranges and give me the stone."

The boy apologized and said that the grandpa has asked him not to sell it.

He went ahead and found a vegetable seller.

"What could be the value of this stone?" he asked the vegetable seller.

The seller saw the shiny stone and said, "Take one sack of potatoes and give me the stone."

The boy again apologized and said he can't sell it.

Further ahead, he went into a jewellery shop and asked the value of the stone.

The jeweler saw the stone under a lens and said, "I'll give you 1 million for this stone."

When the boy shook his head, the jeweler said, "Alright, alright, take 2 24karat gold necklaces, but give me the stone."

The boy explained that he can't sell the stone.

Further ahead, the boy saw a precious stone's shop and asked the seller the value of this stone.

When the precious stone's seller saw the big ruby, he lay down a red cloth and put the ruby on it.

Then he walked in circles around the ruby and bent down and touched his head in front of the ruby. "From where did you bring this priceless ruby from?" he asked.

"Even if I sell the whole world, and my life, I won't
be able to purchase this priceless stone."

Stunned and confused, the boy returned to the grandpa and told him what had happened.

"Now tell me what is the value of life, grandpa?"

Grandpa said,

"The answers you got from the Orange Seller, the Vegetable Seller, the Jeweler & the Precious Stone's Seller explain the value of our life...

You may be a precious stone, even priceless, but, people will value you based on their financial status, their level of information, their belief in you, their motive behind entertaining you, their ambition, and their risk taking ability.

But don't fear, you will surely find someone who will discern your true value."

*Respect yourself.*

*Don't sell yourself cheap.*

*You are rare, Unique, Original and the only one of ur kind.*

*Your are a masterpiece because u r MASTER'S PIECE.*

*No one can Replace you.*

Bag of nails

There once was a young boy with a very bad temper. The boy's father wanted to teach him a lesson, so he gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper he must hammer a nail into their wooden fence.

On the first day of this lesson, the little boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. He was really mad!

Over the course of the next few weeks, the little boy began to control his temper, so the number of nails that were hammered into the fence dramatically decreased.

It wasn't long before the little boy discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Then, the day finally came when the little boy didn't lose his temper even once, and he became so proud of himself, he couldn't wait to tell his father.

Pleased, his father suggested that he now pull out one nail for each day that he could hold his temper.

Several weeks went by and the day finally came when the young boy was able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

Very gently, the father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.

"You have done very well, my son," he smiled, "but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same."

The little boy listened carefully as his father continued to speak.

"When you say things in anger, they leave permanent scars just like these. And no matter how many times you say you're sorry, the wounds will still be there." - See more at: http://www.spiritual-short-stories.com/spiritual-short-story-477-A+Bag+of+Nails.html#sthash.PACmbn2H.dpuf

Accident

A woman ran a red traffic light and crashed into a man's car.  Both of their cars were badly damaged, but amazingly neither of them were found hurt.

After they crawled out of their cars, the woman said; "Wow, just look at our cars!  There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt.  This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

The man replied, "I agree with you completely.  This must be a sign from God!"

The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle.  My car is completely demolished, but my bottle of 75 year old scotch didn't break.  Surely God meant for us to drink this vintage delicacy and celebrate our good fortune."

Then she handed the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opened it, drank half the bottle and then handed it back to the woman. The woman took the bottle, immediately put the cap back on, and handed it back to the man. The man asks, "Aren't you having any?" She replies, "Nah, I think I'll just wait for the police." 😎😎😎😎😎

Don't wait for the parrot to die

Don’t wait for the parrot to die
----------------------------------------------

The story is told of a woman who bought a parrot to keep her company, but she returned it the next day.

*“This bird doesn't talk,”* she told the owner.

*”Does he have a mirror in his cage?”* he asked. *“Parrots love mirrors. They see their reflection and start a conversation.”*

The woman bought a mirror and left. The next day she returned; the bird still wasn't talking.

*"How about a ladder? Parrots love ladders. The happy parrot is a talkative parrot.”*

The woman bought a ladder and left. But the next day, she was back.

*“Does your parrot have a swing? No? Well, that’s the problem. Once he starts swinging, he’ll talk up a storm.”*

The woman reluctantly bought a swing and left.
When she walked into the store the next day, her countenance had changed.

*“The parrot died,”* she said.

The pet store owner was shocked.

*“I’m so sorry. Tell me, did he ever say anything?”* he asked.

*“Yes, right before it died,”* the woman replied.

*“In a weak voice, it asked me, ‘Don’t they sell any food at that pet store?’"*

Sometimes we forget what’s really important in life. We get so caught up in things that are good while neglecting the things that are truly necessary.

Take a moment to do a *“priority check”, and strive for what is most* important today.

*Don’t wait for the parrot to die...!!*

Shopping dog

One night, just before the shopkeeper was about to close the shop, a dog came into the shop.
There was a bag in its mouth. The bag had a list of items to be bought and money. The shopkeeper took the money and kept the items in the bag.
Immediately, The dog picked up the bag of items and left. The shopkeeper was surprised and went behind the dog to see who the owner was.
The dog waited at the bus stop. After sometime, a bus came and the dog got into the bus. As soon as the conductor came, it moved forward to show his neck belt which had money and the address as well. The conductor took the money and put the ticket in his neck belt again.
When it reached the destination, the dog went to the front and wagged his tail indicating that he wanted to get down. The moment the bus stopped, it got down. The shopkeeper was still following it.
The dog knocked on the door of a house with its legs. Its owner came from inside and beat it with a stick.
The shocked shopkeeper asked him "why are you beating the dog?", to which the owner replied, "he disturbed my sleep. It could have taken the keys with it."
This is the truth of life. There is no end to the expectations people have from you. The moment you go wrong, they start pointing at our mistakes. All the good done in the past is forgotten. Any small mistake committed then gets magnified. This is the nature of this material world.!!!
